Class Locations
Classes are offered at the following locations: Fitness Center inside the Ballantyne Hotel and Lodge 10000 Ballantyne Commons Pkwy Charlotte, NC 28277 Lotus Bellydance has partnered with Pro Trainer Fitness to offer these classes at the Fitness Center. Tease Fitness Boutique (new added location starting in August!) 2125 Southend Drive Ste 251 (The Village of Southend) Charlotte, NC 28203 Phone - (980) 475-3000 What to Wear to Class Students are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing that allows your movements to be seen. Dance shoes are optional. Hip scarf is also optional, but wearing one allows you to see and hear your moves. Students typically dance barefoot, with socks, or flat dance shoes with a smooth/suede bottom. Weekly Class Schedule Below is the classes held at the Ballantyne Hotel Fitness Center. Classes run continuously in 4 week sessions unless otherwise noted.
*Note: A FREE Intro to Bellydance Class is offered in the last week of each session. Visit the Events Page for details. Starting in August, a monthly class will be offered at Tease Fitness Boutique! Visit their website at www.teasefitnessboutique.com for class RSVP (not handled by Lotus) and we'll see you there! Below is the schedule for the classes. All classes are held on Mondays. *Note: Students are not allowed to use Lotus Groupon certficate for classes held at Tease Fitness Boutique.
2010 Session Schedule These are the start dates of each new session at the Ballantyne Hotel Fitness Center. If you would like to start during the middle of a session please give us a call or send email. The August 3 session is now full.
Class Description Below is a description of each class offered. Intro to Bellydance Just what you need to get started! This class will focus on teaching you the basic fundamental moves found in bellydance. This class will be offered during the last week of each session as a free class. Recommended for the newbies. Beginner Complete This class will give you the basic fundamentals you need, and we're going to put them together for you in a fun beginner choreography! This class runs in a 4 week session and we learn a new part of the choreography each week. By the end of the session you will have an entire choreography to show family and friends. Recommended for the beginner student or newbie. Bellydance Drills Here's your opportunity to take those challenging moves and break them down for a good understanding as well as drill current and new moves! This is a great class for those who wish to really work on their technique as there's no choreography involved. And you get in a great workout too! Feel free to drop in at anytime! Recomended for all levels. Intro to Intermediate You've been bellydancing with us for at least 12 weeks and you're ready for a challenge or to see what the next level will bring. This class is for you! This is a drop in non-choreography based class where we take your Beginner technique and apply layering and more challenging technique. Have you been dancing elsewhere? You're welcome to try the class out as well. Recommended for Beginners with at least 12 weeks bellydance or previous bellydance experience from another instructor. |
